This weekend was a whirlwind of fun – Saturday morning Derek agreed to go on a 5 mile Bayshore run with me. Funny how a change of scenery can make a run so much more enjoyable! (This run put our Friday evening slow-fest to shame). Everything about the run felt better than the day before, and we averaged about an 8:25 mile (I slow Derek down big time). I’m running in the Miles for Moffitt Annual 5K next weekend, and I’ll be satisfied with a pace somewhere around 8:20
Isn’t this just the most beautiful view around? I love Tampa so much.
We spent the afternoon checking out some stores around town that we hope to register with for our wedding next year.. It was a little overwhelming, but Derek made it crystal clear that one item(s) would be a necessity to register – a mortar and pestle for guacamole. That’s it. That’s all we need.
For our evening festivities, we tagged along to Hula Bay with Derek’s clan – usually this just means his sweet parents, but Davis is in town for a couple weeks so I’ve gotten to hang with her as well!!
(Hula Bay has my favorite grouper sandwich in town – I’ve always been a fan of bonefish grill’s and grille one sixteen’s, but the one at HB blows them out of the water – no pun intended)
Naturally, we ended our evening with a wild game of Apples to Apples with our friends Betsy and Chris
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
